Please!! I need input ASAP! THANK YOU!! =)?

My mother is in her mid 40's and she has no job, she has lived off her boyfriend for 3-4 years now. she hasn't had a job since i can't even remember. i love her so much but she doesn't even come see her own granddaughter unless i ask her to and she doesn't stay long when she does decide to grace us with her presents. i have not been speaking to her for the last month (i know that doesn't solve anything but after years of trying to get through to her i have given up) well she sent me a text message today asking if i would take her bird, because she is apparently homeless, and she never explained to me why. well i feel bad because i don't want her to live under a bridge, i think i should offer her a place with me but i'm not so sure my fiance' would go for that. i am in a rut right now an i need some input. what the h*ll am i supposed to do? take her bird, and not offer her a place? talk to my hunny about letting her stay?
