What happens after people get their thyroid taken out due to it being cancerous???

You take thyroid supplements to replace the thyroxin your thyroid makes. She will be monitored by her dr. to get the thyroxin at an optimum level. Thyroid cancer has an extremely high cure rate. She will be placed in a separate treatment room to get thet treatments and no one can be in direct contact with her during that time. If the doctor monitors her symptoms and her thyroid replacement medication she should be able to live a very normal life and get pregnant as well. I am a nurse and if I had to choose a cancer to get it would be thyroid cancer since it is so curable. (not that I'd ever CHOOSE to get cancer)
