Can anyone help me find an educational, fun and entertaining science magazine for my 8 year old nephew?

I have an 8 year old nephew who enjoys shows like "How it's Made", "Mythbusters" and so on, so I'd like to find a fun and entertaining science magazine that I could subscribe him to. I've looked in to "National Geographic", but it doesn't seem all that fun. I found "Yes Mag" which seemed great, but there is only 6 issues per year... Please let me know your opinions on these two magazines, or other magazines that I don't know of. I'm a Canadian resident, if that matters! Thank you!
